Each 1 ml solution contains:

• Marbofloxacin: 50 mg
• Excipients: Metacresol 2 mg, Monothioglycerol 0.5 mg, Mannitol, Disodium edentate, and Water for injection.

Used to treat respiratory infections in buffaloes, cattle, and pigs.

Marbofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits DNA gyrase, an enzyme essential for bacterial DNA replication. It is a broad-spectrum, highly effective bactericidal agent against Staphylococcus, E. coli, Mycoplasma, and Pasteurella spp.

After subcutaneous or intramuscular administration in pigs and cattle at a dose of 2 mg/kg body weight:

• Cmax: 1.5 µg/ml
• Tmax: 1 hour
• Bioavailability: 100%
• Marbofloxacin has low plasma protein binding (less than 10% in pigs and less than 30% in cattle).
• Its concentration in most tissues (liver, kidneys, skin, lungs, uterus, bladder) exceeds that in plasma.
• It is excreted slowly, primarily through urine (two-thirds of the dose in pigs) and feces (one-third of the dose in pigs), mostly in an active antibacterial form.

Administer intramuscularly or subcutaneously:

• Buffaloes, cattle, and pigs: 1 ml per 25 kg body weight (equivalent to 2 mg marbofloxacin/kg body weight).
• Calves, buffalo calves, and piglets: 1 ml per 15–20 kg body weight.
• Use continuously for 3–5 days.

OVERDOSE:
No adverse effects observed with doses up to 3X in calves and buffalo calves and 5X in pigs. No cartilage damage has been reported.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

For meat consumption:

• Buffaloes and cattle: 6 days.
• Pigs: 2 days.

For milk extraction: 36 hours.

USE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
Studies in laboratory animals (rats, rabbits) show no evidence of teratogenicity, embryotoxicity, or maternal toxicity.

• The safety of the product has been demonstrated for treatment in pregnant cows.
• It has also been proven safe for piglets and calves when used in pregnant sows and cows.
• Therefore, it can be safely used in pregnant and lactating cows and sows.

Do not use in animals hypersensitive to fluoroquinolones.

Occasional mild inflammation may occur at the injection site.

2 years from the manufacturing date.

Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures below 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight.
