Ingredient

Each 1 ml of solution contains:

  • Toltrazuril: 25 mg
  • Solvent q.s.: 1 ml
Uses

Treats coccidiosis in poultry causing bloody diarrhea, waxy droppings, and related symptoms.

Pharmacological properties

Toltrazuril is a new-generation, broad-spectrum anticoccidial drug. It damages all intracellular developmental stages of Eimeria. Toltrazuril acts on schizonts, microgametes (male gametes), and macrogametes (female gametes), but it does not affect the host’s tissue cells. It interferes with nuclear division and mitochondrial activity, disrupting the respiratory process of Eimeria. For macrogametes, Toltrazuril inhibits the formation of cell walls. During intracellular development, it causes detrimental vacuolation by distending the endoplasmic reticulum of Eimeria.

In poultry, Toltrazuril absorption is less than 50%, with high drug concentrations found in the liver. It is quickly metabolized into sulfone derivatives. Residues of the drug can still be detected up to a week after the last dose.

Usage

Mix into drinking water, continuously for 2 days per course. Repeat after 5 days if necessary.

  • For prevention: 1 ml per liter of drinking water (25 ppm), used at 1 week of age and repeated at 2 weeks of age.
  • For treatment: 1.5 ml per liter of drinking water.

OVERDOSE:
The drug is well tolerated even at 3–5 times the recommended dose. However, high doses may reduce water intake in poultry.

NOTE:

  • The product is an alkaline solution.
  • Like other anticoccidial drugs, prolonged use may lead to resistance.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

  • Meat: 2 weeks.
Recommendations

CK-Cox is compatible with antibiotics such as Enrofloxacin, Ampicillin, Tetracycline, Tiamulin, and Tylosin.

Contraindications

Do not use in poultry during the egg-laying period when eggs are intended for human consumption.

Side effects
  • High doses may reduce egg production in laying hens and slow growth in broilers.
  • May cause neuritis (inflammation of nerves).
Expiry date

2 years from the manufacturing date.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures below 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight.
