Prednisolone: 10 mg
Chlorpheniramine maleate: 4 mg
Solvent ad: 1 ml

الخواص الدوائية للدواء

Prednisolone: A glucocorticoid with significant anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and immunosuppressive effects. Prednisolone is rapidly absorbed after oral or injectable administration, reaching peak plasma concentration within 1 hour. It binds highly to plasma proteins (90-95%), is metabolized in the liver, and its metabolites are excreted in urine. Less than 1% of the administered dose is secreted into breast milk.

Chlorpheniramine: An antihistamine with minimal sedative effects. Like most other antihistamines, it exhibits anticholinergic side effects, though these effects vary significantly between individuals. Its antihistamine effect is achieved through competitive blocking of H1 receptors on target cells. Chlorpheniramine is well absorbed after injection, reaching peak plasma concentration within 1 hour. It is metabolized in the liver and has a half-life of approximately 24 hours.

الاستخدام

Administer deep intramuscular injection.

General dosage: 1 ml per 15 kg of body weight per day, for 3 consecutive days.
Note: Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

OVERDOSE:
Severe overdose may cause central nervous system depression, difficulty in movement, and tremors.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

For meat consumption: 21 days.
For milk extraction: 4 days.

التوصيات

Using corticosteroids with Amphotericin B or furosemide increases the risk of electrolyte imbalance due to calcium and potassium loss.
Drugs that may interact with Prednisolone include salicylates, rifampin, erythromycin, and ketoconazole.
Immune response to vaccines may be reduced when used concurrently with corticosteroids.

USE DURING PREGNANCY:
Not recommended for pregnant animals, especially during early and late pregnancy stages.

Animals receiving live vaccines.
Should not be used concurrently with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) due to the risk of gastric ulceration.
Not suitable for animals with liver or kidney failure.
