Indicated for the treatment of respiratory and reproductive tract infections caused by bacteria sensitive to Florfenicol and Doxycycline.

الخواص الدوائية للدواء

Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic. It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit and, possibly, the 50S subunit of susceptible bacteria. It may also alter the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane. Doxycycline has a broad antibacterial spectrum, effective against both aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.) and other microorganisms like Rickettsia, Coxiella burnetii, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia spp., and Ureaplasma.

Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic effective against Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus spp., Fusobacterium, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and bacteria resistant to chloramphenicol due to acetyltransferase production. Florfenicol is particularly effective against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit (and possibly the 70S subunit) and blocking the peptidyl transferase enzyme.

After intramuscular injection, the active ingredients are rapidly absorbed and widely distributed throughout tissues and organs, maintaining therapeutic concentrations for 48 hours. Metabolism occurs in the kidneys, forming inactive metabolites, which are excreted primarily through bile and urine, with some elimination via feces.

الاستخدام

Administer deep intramuscularly: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight. Repeat after 48 hours.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Meat (all species): 28 days.

Do not use concurrently with Thiamphenicol, Chloramphenicol, Penicillins, Cephalosporins, or Fluoroquinolones.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
Not to be used in pregnant or lactating animals.

Once opened, use within 14 days after the first dose.
