Used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory and digestive tracts in pigs, such as pneumonia, pleuropneumonia (APP), pasteurellosis, swine asthma, Glässer’s disease (polyserositis), salmonellosis, and E. coli infections.

الخواص الدوائية للدواء

Florfenicol has bacteriostatic effects by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing polypeptide chain formation between amino acids, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis and halting bacterial growth and survival. After intramuscular injection, florfenicol has a bioavailability of approximately 79%. It is distributed throughout the body and achieves therapeutic concentrations in cerebrospinal fluid. In cattle, only about 13% of the drug binds to plasma proteins, with a plasma half-life of approximately 18 hours.
Tylosin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic from the macrolide group. It acts on the 50S ribosomal subunits of bacteria, inhibiting protein synthesis. Tylosin is rapidly absorbed after injection and widely distributed (except in cerebrospinal fluid). Its concentration in milk is about 20% of its plasma concentration, and it is excreted unchanged in urine and bile. The half-life in small animals is approximately 54 minutes and 139 minutes in neonatal calves.

Flortyl-LA is highly effective against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Haemophilus parasuis, Salmonella spp., and E. coli in pigs.

الاستخدام

Administer intramuscularly: 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight. Repeat after 48 hours if necessary.

OVERDOSE:
The drug is well-tolerated at up to 5 times the recommended dose.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

For meat consumption: 21 days.
