Ingredient

Each 1 ml solution contains:

Alfachymotrypsin: 8 mg
Trypsin: 2 mg
Solvent: q.s. to 1 ml

Uses

Combines anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling effects (due to trauma, surgery, or infectious diseases) in cattle, buffalo, horses, pigs, dogs, and poultry.

Pharmacological properties

Chymotrypsin and trypsin are protein-hydrolyzing enzymes extracted from bovine pancreas.

Trypsin breaks down large protein molecules by cleaving protein chains at specific points. Large proteins are essentially chains of hundreds of smaller molecular units called amino acids. Trypsin acts at locations in the protein chain containing lysine and arginine, two smaller amino acids.
Chymotrypsin acts at different sites than trypsin, cleaving protein chains where larger amino acids like phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan are present.

The hydrolytic action of these enzymes depends on macrophages. Additionally, hydrolytic enzymes reduce inflammation by deactivating immune complexes that lead to fibrin accumulation in tissues, which slows healing. The fibrin-degrading activity of these enzymes improves microcirculation in inflamed tissues. Enhanced microcirculation and reduced immune complex accumulation facilitate the removal of inflammatory factors, promoting healing.

Hydrolytic enzymes help clear debris from cell surfaces, allowing activated immune cells to move freely into affected tissues. After intramuscular injection, while some enzymes are cleared by binding to unhydrolyzed macromolecules, over 80% bind to peptides and integrate into normal protein metabolism.

Chymosin locally destroys fibrin structures associated with subacute or chronic inflammation, reducing inflammation and soft tissue swelling caused by abscesses, ulcers, trauma, or loosening upper respiratory secretions in asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, and sinusitis. It is used to treat infections, localized tissue necrosis, prevent delayed wound healing post-surgery, resolve internal hematomas, reduce trauma-induced swelling, and support the treatment of infectious diseases.

Usage

Administer intramuscularly or locally. Repeat after 48 hours if necessary.

Cattle, buffalo, and horses: 2.5–6.25 ml per 100 kg body weight.
Dogs and pigs: 0.25–0.62 ml per 10 kg body weight.
Poultry: 1 ml per 10–15 kg body weight.

OVERDOSE:
No evidence of enzyme overdose in animals.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Not required.

Recommendations

Protein-hydrolyzing enzymes have mild anticoagulant effects; do not use concurrently with other anticoagulant drugs.

Contraindications

Not to be used in animals with a history of hypersensitivity to the product's components.

Side effects

Studies show the product does not cause teratogenic effects or impair reproductive ability.
