Ingredient

Each 1 ml of solution contains:

Enrofloxacin ……………… 120 mg

Uses

For the treatment of respiratory, genitourinary, skin, soft tissue, ear, bone, and intestinal infections in cattle, buffalo, pigs, dogs, cats, sheep, and poultry.

Pigs: Pasteurellosis, pneumonia, local pneumonia, diarrhea caused by E.coli.
Cattle and buffalo: Pasteurellosis, pneumonia, hemolytic E.coli, diarrhea caused by E.coli, secondary bacterial infections from viral respiratory diseases.
Poultry: Pasteurellosis, E.coli, CRD, CCRD, duck respiratory infections, fowl typhoid, diarrhea, etc.

Pharmacological properties

Enrofloxacin inhibits DNA-gyrase, an enzyme essential for bacterial DNA replication.
Spectrum of activity includes Mycoplasma spp., E.coli, Salmonella spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., and Vibrio.

Usage

Administer intramuscularly or subcutaneously:

Cattle and buffalo: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight/day for 3-5 consecutive days. Do not inject more than 10 ml per site. For calves, do not inject more than 5 ml per site.
Pigs and sheep: 1 ml per 15 kg body weight/day for 3 consecutive days.
Dogs and cats: 1 ml per 7-10 kg body weight/day for 3 consecutive days.
Poultry: 1 ml per 5-7 kg body weight/day.

OVERDOSE:
Do not exceed the recommended dose. There is no specific antidote for overdose. Provide symptomatic treatment if overdose occurs.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Eggs and milk: 4 days.
Meat: 10 days.

Recommendations

DRUG INTERACTIONS:

Combining with tetracyclines or macrolides may result in antagonism.
Concurrent use with theophylline may increase theophylline levels in the blood.
Synergistic effects (but unpredictable) may occur with certain bacteria (e.g., Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacteriaceae) when combined with aminoglycosides, third-generation cephalosporins, ampicillin, or amoxicillin.
Nitrofurantoin may antagonize fluoroquinolones and should not be used together.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
The safety of enrofloxacin in pregnant and lactating cattle has been confirmed. The product is safe for use in pregnant and lactating animals.

Contraindications

Not for use in animals hypersensitive to fluoroquinolones. Not recommended for dogs younger than 12 months of age or for horses.

Side effects

Local reactions at the injection site.
Gastrointestinal disturbances may occur in cattle and buffalo.

Expiry date

2 years from the manufacturing date.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures ≤ 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight.
